The Snake Plant, also known as Sansevieria, is a tough and hardy plant that is easy to care for and adapts well to a wide range of growing conditions.

Care

Light: Snake Plants prefer bright, indirect light but can also tolerate low light conditions. They are also able to survive in relatively low light conditions and can even grow in full sun in some climates.

Watering: Snake Plants are drought tolerant and can go long periods without water. Water your Snake Plant thoroughly when the soil is completely dry, and allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of problems for Snake Plants.

Soil: Snake Plants prefer well-draining soil that is rich in organic matter. A commercial potting mix or a mix of peat moss, perlite, and sand works well.

Fertilization: Snake Plants do not require frequent fertilization, and over-fertilization can damage the plant. Fertilize your Snake Plant once every three to four months during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.

Humidity: Snake Plants are tolerant of low humidity levels and do not require high humidity to thrive.

Temperature: Snake Plants prefer temperatures between 60-85°F and can tolerate a wider range of temperatures but will not thrive in extreme heat or cold.

Propagation: Snake Plants can be easily propagated by division or by cuttings. Simply cut a section of the root ball and pot it up in fresh soil, or take a stem cutting and root it in water or moist soil.
