The Alocasia Amazonica 'Polly' is a popular houseplant that is prized for its large, glossy leaves with distinctive veining.

Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some shade. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, so it is best to protect the plant from direct sun.

Watering: Keep consistently moist but not wet. Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch, and be sure to provide adequate drainage so that the plant's roots do not sit in standing water.

Soil: Prefers a rich, well-draining soil that is high in organic matter. A commercial potting mix or a mix of peat moss, perlite, and sand works well.

Fertilization: Benefits from regular fertilization during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Fertilize the plant once every two to four weeks, following the instructions on the fertilizer package.

Humidity: Prefers high humidity levels and will benefit from regular misting or placement on a humidity tray.

Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 60-85°F and should be protected from extreme heat or cold.

Propagation: Can be propagated by division or by stem cuttings. Simply cut a section of the root ball and pot it up in fresh soil, or take a stem cutting and root it in water or moist soil.
